Kejriwal writes to Modi over Delhi tussle

New Delhi: Escalating the ongoing power tussle between Lt Governeor Najeeb Jung and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the later wrote a letter to Prime Minister Modi accusing the centre of trying to rule Delhi through Jung.

In the letter, Kejriwal referred to postings and transfers made by Jung and said the elected government must have a say about the distribution of work to officials.

While airing his misgivings about the role of the Lieutenant Governor, Kejriwal asked Modi to allow the city government to function “independently”

“In Delhi, Central government is trying to run government unconstitutionally through the Lt Governor. Let Delhi government function independently,” the Aam Aadmi Party chief said in the letter.

On the other hand Delhi governor Najjeb Jung has cancelled all the postings and transferred orders made in the last four days.
