‘Kattappa’ To Get Wax Statue At London’s Madame Tussauds


London: Tamil actor Sathyaraj will be honoured with a wax statue of his character Kattappa from Baahubali at the Madame Tussauds in London, reports The Times Of India. Kattappa’s character in the SS Rajamouli-directed film was celebrated all over the world, especially with the question that emerged after the cliffhanger in the first part of the film: Kattappa Ne Baahubali Ko Kyun Maara? Baahubali: The Conclusion – the second part of the film witnessed historic collection at the box office for decoding the mystery.

Sathyaraj’s son posted a report of the announcement on Twitter and wrote: “Really proud to read this.”

Actresses Khushbu Sundar and Ramya Nambessan tweeted congratulatory messages for Sathyaraj soonafter.

The Baahubali franchise emerged as a blockbuster while its second part, that released in 2017, made over Rs 1000 crores worldwide.

Baahubali cast Prabhas in the lead role, whose wax statue has also been installed at Madame Tussauds in London. Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah and Ramya Krishnan also appeared in principal roles in the film. Sathyaraj is the star of films Vedham Pudhithu, Nadigan, Periyar, Nanban and Raja Rani.
