New Delhi: Former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju also known for being vocal to his opinion backed Government’s decision to discontinue Indira Gandhi and Rajib Gandhi’s stamps on Thursday.
Former chairman of Press council of India Katju said into his blog that he is not an admirer of BJP Government but he supports the decision to discontinue the postage stamps bearing the picture of Indira Gandhi and Rajeev Gandhi.
He added to his blog that “Indira Gandhi was power crazy woman who was willing to go to any extent to hold the power.” He again wrote in his blog that Rajeev Gandhi sent the Indian army to the Sri Lanka for no good reason.
The NDA Government has replaced the modern India theme, which included the stamps of Indira and Rajeev. However the stamps of Mahatma Gandhi, B.R Ambedkar and Mother Teresa have been retained.
Katju had a few days ago created a controversy with his tweet on Monday where he has described Subhas Chandra Bose as a Japanese agent and Tagore a British Stooge.
