Kashmiris Held at Petrapole With Smuggled Gold


Barasat: Custom official on Saturday arrested two Kashmiri people with smuggled gold worth in crores from the India-Bangladesh border area of Petrapole. The officials seized two gold bars weighing 1 kg each and 290 gold coins weighing 640 grams from the arrested.

The arrested have been identified as Jubel sheriff and Mujammal Faruq both from Kashmir. An investigation has been launched to ascertain the connection of international gold smuggling racket operating in the area.
