Kolkata: Former student leader from JNU Kanhaiya Kumar will be present at the CPI’s 94th Foundation day programme at Dharmatala on December 26. This is an effort to revive the party.
In the party’s state meeting, along with the BJP, the TMC can also be opposed. Despite receiving invitation from TMC’ brigade meeting, the CPI’s state leadership has rejected it. The party has also decided to restart the daily which was closed down due to financial problems. It might come as a weekly in the format of a tabloid.
After the Left lost its stand in the state, the CPI has also lost its relevance in the state. Its condition is also not good in the other states. So, it seems Kanhaiya Kumar can be the only one who can revive the party.
