Kolkata: Kanhaiya Kumar will come to West Bengal to address rally. He is the member of CPI’s central committee and the controversial student of JNU who is contesting from Bihar’s Begusarai for the Lok Sabha polls.
Kumar has gathered money for campaigning through crowd funding. The common people have given 70 lakhs of rupees to fight for the elections. He will speak about this in the Bengal rally. According to the CPI, he will criticise Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He will also speak of the ‘secret’ friendship between TMC and BJP.
Kumar will hold six rallies in West Bengal. He will campaign for CPM candidate Gargi Chatterjee in North 24 Parganas’ Barrackpore on 4th May. On the same day, he will campaign in East Midnapore’s Tamluk and Panskura. On 5th May, he will campaign in Jhargram, Midnapore and Daspur. He will return to Kolkata the same night. He will leave Kolkata on 6th May.
According to CPI, he will campaign in Bengal before the 6th and 7th phase of Lok Sabha polls.
Kanhaiya was in Bengal, few months ago, to attend CPI’s birth anniversary. There he lashed out at Mamata Banerjee saying that she was trying to become the friends of the Muslims. He also said that Modi was trying to be the friends of the Hindus.
