Kanhaiya Kumar & Protesters Detained By Delhi Police

New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru Univeristy Student Union president Kanhaiya Kumar was detained on Friday along with 42 other protestors by Delhi Police at Bihar Bhawan for protesting against the ongoing protests by the Patna Arts college students.

Kanhaiya, along with JNU students, were demanding the suspension of college principal Chandrabhushan Srivastav and the ongoing examinations be cancelled and conducted afresh.

The students were protesting against the “violent crackdown” on the Arts college students by Patna Police and “JDU goons”.

Earlier this week, violent clashes broke out between the All India Students Federation (AISF) and the JD(U) student wing over an exam schedule. The AISF wanted the exams to be postponed and the JD(U) student wing were against it.
