Kali Puja: 30 Lakhs Gold Ornaments Allures Visitors

The Khiddirpore puja successfully steps into seventy year. The Kali idol made of 27 ft is decorated in gorgeous and vintage manner. The main attraction of the puja remain gold and silver ornaments which cost thirty lakhs.

For many people, dining with Goddess Kali tonight after offering pushpanjali (Special Prayer) is one of the most looked forward to things. Keeping that tradition the puja committee arranged bhog for thousand of devotees and visitors on this night. A committee member said that where people take shelter after spending a tiring day known as ‘Sandhyanir.’

Khiddirpore is the birthplace of three poets, Hem-Madhu-Rangala. But crossing the limit, it became a uniting place for all communities. This vintage puja turns seventy carrying a legacy in dedicated worship.
