Kabul: Twin blasts rocked Kabul on Monday morning, killing at least four people. The second blast happened about half an hour after the first, even as people were trying to help those injured in the first blast.
The explosions happened in the Shashdarak area of PD9 district of the city. Local news reports suggest the blasts took place close to the National Directorate of Security (NDS), the primary intelligence agency of Afghanistan. Reports say there were a number of journalists among those killed in injured, especially in the second blast.
French news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP) confirmed that one of its photographers had been killed on Monday in an explosion in the Afghan capital, Kabul, that hit journalists who had gathered to cover an earlier blast.
The agency’s Twitter account said photographer Shah Marai had been killed in the blast.
