JUTA raises its voice of ‘Kolorob’


Kolkata: Jadavpur University seems to be in news very often. After the hok kolorob issue, the teachers and the professors have taken the path of protest. The JUTA will walk in the path of protest citing examples in the field of recruitment of new professors and the re-appointment of the new teachers. They have also raised their voice on the issue that the students are also coming at the receiving end as the professors are undergoing tremendous pressure and are unable to give their best in the class room.

A memorandum will be given to the authorities in this issue and a half day strike will also be held on April 29 protesting on this issue. General Secretary of JUTA, Nilanjana Gupta said after a meeting that since 2006 there has not been any promotion for the professors. So they are taking the other way now to bring a change in the issue.

On the other hand, the Vice Chancellor of JU has said that they are aware of the issue and will definitely act accordingly to bring the problem to a proper solution.
