সাজানোর ঘটনায় দোষীদের ১০ বছরের কারাদণ্ডের নির্দেশ

The court pronounced Kader Khan, Muhammad Ali, Ruman Khan, Sumit Bajaj and Naseer Khan guilty of rape.

Suzzette Jordan, the rape survivor who went public with her identity, was raped by a group of men inside a moving car on Park Street and its vicinity on the night of February 6, 2012.

The gang had befriended her in a night club. The men then threw her out of the car. When Jordan cried rape, many tried to silence her by casting aspersions on her reputation.

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee herself termed the incident as concocted. But none of this deterred the gutsy woman.

Despite alleged threats from those involved in the rape, Jordan helped the police recreate the incident, and provided the smallest of details for police to nab the culprits.

Suzzette Jordan died in March of meningitis after a long battle for justice.
