Jumbo Rampage Kills One in Suri

Suri: Escalating the human-elephant clash, two marauding elephants killed a man and damaged houses at Bangram village in Burdwan’s Suri area on Wednesday morning.

The victim was rushed to Suri hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The villagers have accused that the elephants have turned rogue. The jumbos have inflicted heavy loss on the farmers by tormenting their crops.

The forest department kept mum on the subject.
