New Delhi: In an attempt to counter the Narendra Modi Government the six parties of the Janata Parivaar formally announced the merger and has decided to come together to form a new party called ‘Samajbadi Janata Party’.
The six parties who have decided to come together are Nitish kumar’s Janata Dal (United), Lalu Prasad’s RJD, Om Prakash Chautala’s ‘Indian National Lok Dal Mulayam Singh’s Samajwadi Party (SP) and Janata Dal (secular) lead by former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and Samajwadi Janata Party.
Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh was chosen as the President of the front. There are reports that the six parties have failed to reach in an agreement regarding the Party’s symbol.
For the assembly election of Bihar, Nitish kumar will be the Chief Ministerial Candidate for the new party. Mulayam Singh will be leading the front in Lok Sabha, whereas Sharad Yadav will be leading the front in Rajya Sabha.
