ITI Question Leak: Mamata Orders CID Probe


Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday ordered CID probe after the ITI entrance question papers were leaked earlier the day. The entrance exam scheduled to be held on Sunday was later cancelled.

The exam was scheduled to select candidates for 12 ITI colleges of the state. The question papers were leaked in many places including Howrah, Hoogly and North 24 Parganas. When the news reached the education department it was declared that the examination will be conducted on 5 July.

On the other hand, a candidate of the examination have complained that in the place of his picture, the face of a dog has appeared in the admit card which was issued to him. Similar incident had occurred over the recent past when an admit card of a competitive exam was issued in the name of a cow in Jammu and Kashmir.
