ISRO Launches PSLV-C46 With Radar Imaging Satellite RISAT-2B


Sriharikota: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched PSLV-C46 with radar earth observation satellite RISAT-2B from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota on Wednesday morning. Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C46) launched took place at 5:30 AM.

PSLV-C46 will launch the RISAT-2B radar earth observation satellite into a 555-km-altitude orbit. The webcast of the launch available on the ISRO website.

Ahead of the crucial launch of PSLV-C46 which is the 48th mission of PSLV, of ISRO, its chairman K Sivan offered prayers at Tirumala Of Tirupati earlier in the day.

It’s been a ritual and ISRO offered prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateshwara at Tirumala hills of Tirupati.

As done in PSLV-C45 launch, ISRO has also made provision for the public to view the launch from recently opened viewer’s gallery at Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.
