Mosul: Islamic State militants have reportedly killed 284 men and boys in Mosul and nearby villages, which are under siege by a coalition of forces attempting to free the region from ISIS rule.
Jihadists have been using innocent civilians as human shields during artillery fire and air strikes. The victims were shot dead on Thursday and Friday, an Iraqi intelligence source told CNN.
ISIS dumped the corpses in a mass grave using a bulldozer at the site where they executed them – College of Agriculture.
Al Sumaria News stated, “The victims were killed by firing squad at the School of Agriculture which has a campus located to the north of Mosul. The victims were brought to the execution site in three consecutive batches,” adding that, “After the execution the bodies were transferred by bulldozers to mass graves at the same area.”
550 families have been taken from their villages around Mosul to be used as human shields around jihadi positions.
