Moscow: In another gruesome video released by the dreaded terror outfit ISIS a Russian jihadi was filmed executing a fellow country man accused of being a spy. The video, which was released through the terror-organisation’s media channel, showed the victim wearing an orange jumpsuit.
Speaking in Russian, the prisoner allegedly confesses to working on behalf of the Russian intelligence service to gather information on ISIS and jihadis from the Caucasus area.
The murder was carried out by a Russian-speaking terrorist who addressed Vladimir Putin directly and threatened Moscow with attacks.
The video was titled ‘You Shall be Disappointed and Humiliated O Russians’.
The eight-minute long video shows the victim making his confession in a blacked-out room. The victim’s confession lasts almost six minutes. The actual murder is filmed outside near a river or a lake. It features the man, kneeling down in front of his killer, who is not masked.
The jihadi addresses the camera in Russian and threatens Vladimir Putin over the decision to attack ISIS In support of Syrian president Bashir al-Assad. The terrorist is using a commando-style knife and grabs the victim’s hair before murdering him.
During the video, the veracity of which could not be confirmed by MailOnline, the killer warns that the Russian military action in Syria ‘has only made us more certain and more firm’.
The killer then threatened the Russian people: ‘You will not find peace in your homes. We will kill your sons … for each son you killed here. And we will destroy your homes for each home you destroyed here.’
In January, ISIS released a video purporting to show a young boy shooting dead two men accused of working for Russian intelligence services. ISIS controls large swathes of Syria and Iraq, which it rules as a self-declared ‘caliphate’.
The video is seen as a response to President Vladimir Putin’s decision to bomb ISIS following the attack in September on a Russian passenger jet leaving the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. The Kremlin has not confirmed whether any of its citizens had been kidnapped by ISIS.
Intelligence experts SITE said the video was from Raqqa province, the main ISIS stronghold in northern Syria. Russia’s security service, the FSB, declined to comment. There was no immediate comment from Russia’s foreign ministry.
