New Delhi: Irfan Pathan was once more in the radar of the trolls as the Indian fast bowler posted a picture of himself with a rakhi on his hand.
Pathan took to Instagram to post a photograph of himself with a rakhi tied around his wrist and wished everyone on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.
Trolls lashed out at him for celebrating a Hindu festival despite being a Muslim. A troll also targetted him saying that his father is a moulvi yet he’s practicing un-Islamic things.
Pathan had recently hosted former India coach Anil Kumble and treated him to biryani. This is not the first time when Muslim cricketers have been targetted by Islamic radicals on the social media.
Just last month, Pathan was subjected to trolls on religious grounds where his wife was shamed for revealing her arms and wearing nail polish while Pathan for posting the picture.
Mohammed Shami was also attacked on social media twice. Recently, he was trolled for posting ‘un-Islamic’ pictures of his daughter’s birthday while back in 2016, Shami was slammed for posting a picture with his wife, who was wearing a sleeveless gown, and he was reminded by Muslim fanatics of his religion.
Even Mohammad Kaif was recently attacked for posting a picture of him playing chess with his son. Earlier, Kaif was also trolled for doing the Surya Namaskar.
