Naidu held both these ministries before he resigned following the NDA naming him its vice presidential nominee.

Irani, who’s already Union textiles minister, will get additional charge of information and broadcasting.

After Naidu’s candidature was announced on Monday, analysts expected a reshuffle after the end of the monsoon session of Parliament next month. The ministries of defence and environment are already being handled by finance minister Arun Jaitley and science and technology minister Harsh Vardhan as their additional responsibilities.
