Iran-China hold talks over Nuclear deal


Tehran: Iran and China will be holding a discussion regarding the setting up of Nuclear Power Station. Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi and Xu Dazhe, the head of China’s Atomic Energy Authority, discussed cooperation between the two countries in the Chinese capital, Beijing, on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the implementation and execution of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) reached between Iran and the P5+1 – the United States, Russia, China, France, Britain, and Germany –in the Austrian capital, Vienna, on July 14.

The two sides also had discussions on the construction of new nuclear plants by China in Iran. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the construction of 100-megawatt power plants, which they said have affordable maintenance costs and possess acceptable qualities, which are capable of desalination and producing electricity and industrial steam.
