IPTA WB Secretary Gora Ghosh Passes Away


Kolkata: Indian Peoples’ Threatre Association West Bengal Secretary comrade Gora Ghosh has died on Friday evening on sudden cardiac arrest. He was 74 years old. He was living with his wife and only daughter and son.

The mortal will remain in CPIM main office from 12pm to 12:30 pm. Then mortal will be taken to Muzaffar Ahmed Bhavan where people will pay the last tribute to him. Then it will be taken to IPTA state office.

Politbureau member Biman Basu, State Secretary Suryakanta Mishra has expressed condemn on the demise of Gora Ghosh. Threatre lovers and those who believe in communism has also shattered over his death.

Ghosh has joined IPTA as an actor in a juncture of People’s Theater Movement. He has acted in ‘Kakdwiper Ek Maa’. ‘RaahuMukto’, ‘Jege Achi’, Haraner NathJamai’, ‘Saada Payraar Jonnyo’, ‘Ispater Fola’, ‘Buno Hans’, ‘Taras Shevchenko’ and etc. Apart from this he acted in many political street plays.
