IPL Debacle: Dada in panel to decide CSK-RR’s fate


Mumbai:Prince of Calcutta, Sourav Ganguly has been named in the four-member BCCI Working Group committee that will look into the Justice RM Lodha report on suspension of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals from the Indian Premier League. The others are BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur, IPL Governing Council chairman Rajeev Shukla and the Board’s legal head Ushanath Bannerjee.

This group will submit within six weeks, a report on its findings and recommendations to the Governing Council which will then deliberate and share views with the working committee of the BCCI for further action.The Supreme Court-appointed Lodha Committee on July 14 suspended Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals for two years from the IPL in the spot-fixing and betting scandal that rocked the cash-rich Twenty20 tournament in 2013.
