Kolkata Knight Riders need a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad to cement their place in the top-4 and qualify for the Indian Premier League 2018 (IPL 2018) playoffs. They are currently in third spot in the standings and a win will assure them of a playoff spot. Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bat. However, a loss will still keep them in contention but it will depend on the results of other games. Sunrisers Hyderabad, meanwhile, have already qualified for the playoffs. The Kane Williamson-led team have assured themselves of a Qualifier 1 spot but have lost their last two games
