IPL 2016: Dhoni to play for Pune; Raina for Rajkot

Mumbai: Five top players each from Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals will go to new Indian Premier League teams Pune and Rajkot in the players draft on Tuesday.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin are all set to play for the Pune franchise in the coming edition of the Indian Premier League while batsman Suresh Raina and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will play for the Rajkot team.

Among foreign players, Brendon McCullum goes to Rajkot and Pune picks Steven Smith.The remaining 40 players go to the auction to be held on February 6 in Bangalore.

Following the two-year suspension of the Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals after being found guilty of breaching IPL regulations, new franchises from Pune (owned by New Rising) and Rajkot (Intex) have been roped in for the next two editions.
