Kolkata: The Kolkata Chapter of the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA) inaugurated its 22nd Indian Plumbing Conference on Friday at Milan Mela.
The Indian Plumbing Association (IPA) Kolkata Chapter will hold its 22nd Indian Plumbing Conference on 25th & 26th November 2016 at Milan Mela in Kolkata. The central theme of the conference is “Sustainable Plumbing For A Healthy Society”.
IPA holds plumbing conferences pan India and this is the second time after 2010 that this National Conference is being held at Kolkata once again.
Plumbing is very important for the society as it is directly related to human health and environment. In the present scenario, when the pollution has increased due to water stagnation, sewer disposed and related issues, Sustainable Plumbing should become the part of planning and living.
Efficient plumbing means conserving energy and water resources resulting in a Zero discharge building. Inputs and outputs are well planned and outputs sewer / reusable discharge are used after recycling.
Mankind has reached to a point where water scarcity has become a big issue all over the Globe. It has been predicted that water society may lead to a war. Hence, this conference would lay emphasis on the water sustainability through interaction and dialogue between the Developers, Architects, Planners, Manufacturers and end users.
On this occasion A Guide in Bangla language – ‘A Guide to Good Plumbing Practices’ will also be released for the 1st time in regional language for the benefits of common people as well to plumbing and building professionals.
