Murshidabad: The Government Railway Police (GRP) of Sealdah division arrested five Chinese nationals from Kolkata railway station night and seized from them narcotics worth about Rs 40 crore. Afterthat CID took over the case.
On a specific tip-off, CID raid a charcol factory in Murshidabad’s Noda area and recovered drugs. In prime investigation CID knew that arrested five chinese men used these factory to store the drugs.
Earlier, Five Chinese were arrested at the Kolkata Railway Station for carrying 197 kg of drugs worth almost Rs 40 crore, a police officer said.
“Five Chinese men have been arrested for Kolkata Railway Station for carrying 197 kg of a drug. They will be produced in court,” the officer said, adding the case was being investigated by the CID team.
