Chennai: The body of 31 year old Indian national Raghavdendran Ganesan who was killed in the Brussels terror attack landed in Chennai on Tuesday afternoon and was taken to his native home.
Earlier on Monday, Infosys employee Raghavendran Ganeshan, who was missing after the Brussels bombings, was confirmed dead in the March 22 terror strike.
A week after the deadly attacks, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that the 28-year-old Indian-born techie was on the metro rail when the Maelbeek station in the Belgian capital was rocked by an explosion.
Twenty people were killed and several were injured in the explosion at the metro station. Ganeshan hailed from Bengaluru. Embassy of India for Belgium tweeted that his mortal remains will be taken to India from Amsterdam airport.
“RIP Raghvendran! The Belgian authorities have identified Raghavendran as one of the victims of barbarian terror attacks of March 22. Mortal remains are in process of being handed to family of Raghavendran to be taken to India from Amsterdam airport,” the Embassy tweeted.
