Srinagar: Security forces foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists on Tuesday in the Zorawar area of Uri district in Jammu and Kashmir. As per report, at least one terrorist was killed and a weapon has also been recovered. Forces are continuing with combing operations.
Earlier four terrorists were killed at Kalgai village, near the Line of Control in Uri sector. They were planning to target the Army’s strategic 76 artillery unit on Uri-Kaman road, , officers said. While three militants were killed in a joint operation on Sunday.
According to report, police had first received information about presence of militants in the village, which was then passed on to Armed forces. Three AK rifles, IEDs and more than a dozen grenades were recovered from them.
