Infighting in TMC claims one at Murshidabad


Baharampur: A Trinamool leader named Ashraf Sheikh was killed by rival TMC leader Lalu Sheikh on Sunday after a clash broke out between the rival camps over the control of a sand quarry at the area.
A sand quarry at the Harishchandrapur area under Bharatpur police station was long been a point of contention between the Lalu camp and Ashraf camp.
A violent clasg broke out between them on Sunday and both hurled bombs at each other. Amidst the incident Ashraf was shot by lalu and died on the spot. Police rushed to the spot and contain the situation. The body has been sent for postmortem. A search has been launched for the accused Lalu Sheikh, who has been absconding since the incident.
