Indigo Flight Had A Narrow Escape, Makes Emergency Landing In Kolkata

Kolkata: Bengaluru-bound Indigo flight made an emergency at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhash International on Sunday airport after the pilot discovered cracks in the wind shield of the aircraft.

Flight 6E-345 made a safe landing at 10.34am after ATS declared “local standby” at the airport.All the passengers are safe and the aircraft is being repaired.

On June 17, over 365 passengers also had a similar narrow escape as two bird hits were reported from Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport in Patna. Two planes one of SpiceJet and another of Indigo suffered bird hits after which the aircrafts underwent heavy turbulence. Indigo had cancelled its return flight to Delhi (6E508) after the incident.
