New Delhi: Indian Naval ships Deepak, Delhi, Tabar and Trishul are enhance bilateral ties and engage in Naval exercise with friendly regional navies to the Gulf. Of the four ships, INS Deepak and INS Tabar entered Kuwait today and and shall remain their till 16 september. It will enhance co-operation and sharing the nuances naval operations including disaster management and combating maritimes threat of terrorism and piracy. These warships will have professional’s interaction for betterment.
The Indian Navy has friendly ties with all navies in the Gulf and exercising regularly with other navies. The Indian Navy is also privileged to provide training and hydrographic support to several navies in the region.
Indian and Kuwait have traditionally enjoyed close and friendly relations. Co operations between two countries extend to the sector of science, technology, oil re firming and also defence co-operations. The growing defence co-operations between these two countries increased the high level of cross training in naval officers. India and Kuwait are also member of Indian Ocean Naval Symposium(IONS). The current visit seeks to underscore India’s peaceful presence and also solidarity. It strengthen the existing bonds of friendship between India and Kuwait.
