Indian Shot Dead In Canada


Toronto: An Indian man was shot dead at his home in Canada by four assailants in Brampton city. 27-year-old Palwinder Singh was a truck driver and he had immigrated to Canada in 2009.

According to the police, he was killed after a gunfight raged at his home in the Donwoods Court in the area of Countryside Drive and Airport Road. The incident occured on Tuesday. According to an international news channel, Palwinder was pronounced dead on the scene.

Following this incident, one 18 years and another 19 years old from Mississauga surrendered. They were charged with first-degree murder. The other two suspects are absconding.

According to a media report, Palwinder Singh’s killing was the 11th murder of the year in Brampton.

Witnesses reported at least three men running into a getaway vehicle after the shooting.
