New Delhi: There is a sharp contrast in the environment in which the armies of India and Pakistan function. While the Pakistani army gets full patronage from the government and their intelligence agencies ISI for barbaric violation of human rights, the Indian soldiers face two pronged attack – first countering cross bordering terrorism, and second countering fake propaganda of human rights abuses by defenders of jihadi terrorism who suddenly find their conscience when a terrorist is killed.
Let us take a look at the case of Indian army first. It is constantly overlooked that Indian armed services have lost more lives in Kashmir than in any war. It is deliberately been overlooked that innocent Indian army persons are pelted with stones. The relief work of the Indian army during the Kashmir floods does not attract any media attraction. But when the Indian army kills a terrorist, suddenly ‘human rights defenders wake up from their hibernation and start with their sermonising on human rights.
Even a cursory look at the events in the last few months show that militants in Kashmir are getting aggressive day by day and groups such as the Jaish-e-Mohammad, Lashkar-e-Tayiba and the HizbulMujahideen are waiting for an opportune moment to strike. Foreign funded dubious NGOS and a section of the coterie journalists work day in and day out to make Afzal Guru a martyr, but do these self -proclaimed guardians of peace ever raise for a voice for one Lance Naik Mohan Nath Goswami?
It is likely that you may have not heard his name as well as discussion on his sacrifice will be on the wrong side of political correctness for the; human rights brigade’. Lance Naik Mohan Nath Goswami, killed ten terrorists from the Lashkar –e- Toiba in 11 days. Lance Naik Goswami was killed at Hafruda forests in Kupwara district in fierce fire fight with terrorists, but not before the elimination of four of them. Considering the history of the activities of the ‘human rights brigade’, don’t be surprised if this brave martyr is confined to the dustbin of history, while these fake rights defender suddenly concoct facts to establish the innocence of the terrorist. This is the hostile atmosphere in which the Indian army works day in and day out.
Now, compare the environment in which the Pakistani army functions. They are rewarded for their barbaric human rights abuses. on 8 January 2013, the Pakistani Border Action Team commandos ambushed Indian forces and beheaded two Indian soldiers. In yet another illustrious cease-fire violation the jingoist special force of Pakistan Army’s border deployments, the Border Action Team (BAT) unit consisting soldiers of 29 Baloch Regiment, infiltrated 600 meters inside the Indian Territory utilizing the full opportunity of the fog and their so many secret tunnels to India and ambushed a small patrol team of the Rajputana Rifles of Indian Army. Both the soldiers of the patrol team, Hemraj Singh and Sudhakar Singh were injured in the 30 minutes long gun-battle and the ambushing Pakistan Army’s BAT beheaded the injured Indian Soldiers and took one of the head with them in Pakistan.
Pakistan entitles the jihadists who behead Hindus, as Ghazis and Qalandars. Even they are cash-rewarded and trophy-rewarded on open stage on national occasions in Pakistan. Pakistan Army’s former chief and the nation’s former president General Pervez Musharraf awarded Iliyash Kashmiri for beheading an Indian Army officer. There are many examples of such types, but suddenly the so called human rights defenders, the NGOs striving for ‘peace’, and the ‘eminent journalists’ go into a slumber. Thus, the nationalist forces of India need to stand up on two counts – firstly in countering the fake propaganda against the Indian army, and secondly to expose the real violator of human rights to the world – the Pakistani armed forces.
