India ranks second after Mexico in abductions

London: India has ranked second in the whole world after Mexico in cases of Kidnapping ahead of Pakistan, Iraq and Nigeria.

The ranking has been published by Control Risk based on the reports of the abduction and is refered to by international reinsurers for providing ‘kidnap and ransom’ cover to both Indian and MNC.

It has been reported that the number of complaints in India about kidnapping is higher in India, although in some South-American countries, kidnapping has been reported as an organized crime. It is wondering that India is now seen as a ripe market for selling K & R (Kidnap and Ransom) insurance policies.
