India proud to host India-Africa summit 2015: Modi


New Delhi: The 3rd India Africa Forum Summit will be held from October 26 to 29 in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a facebook post today said that India was proud to host the summit, which reflects India and Africa’s desire to engage more intensively for a better future.

The Prime Minister added that leaders from all 54 African countries and the African Union have been invited for the summit, scaling up the level of engagement significantly.

In the run up to the India Africa Forum Summit, Trade Ministers of India and Africa, accompanied by business delegations, will meet on 23 October.

A business exhibition will be organised at the Summit venue on 27 and 29 October by leading Indian chambers of commerce and industry.

A mobile exhibition titled ‘Memories of Mahatma’, which took off from Porbandar on Gandhi Jayanti will reach the Summit venue on October 29th.

Celebrating Mahatma Gandhi’s connection with Africa, a commemorative coin and stamp will be released suring the summit.
