Islamabad: Islamabad on Monday alleged that India and Afghanistan are in cahoots to create unrest in Pakistan, Dawn reported.
The allegation was made by Pakistan’s defence Minister Khawaja Asif in the National Assembly today. Channel 24Pak reported that he said “India has outsourced the task of terrorism in Pakistan to those sitting in Afghanistan.”
He didn’t provide any information to back his allegation that New Delhi and Kabul are conspiring to weaken Pakistan.
Asif claimed that in the past four years, India violated the ceasefire agreement 1,170 times along the Line of Control and 257 times across the International Border.
Islamabad has long blamed Afghanistan for terrorism in Pakistan and not taking adequate action against terrorists there.
“We gave refuge to thousands of Afghans, but we will not keep housing terrorists,” Asif said. “The killers of our sons are sitting on Afghan soil, the government needs to take action against them,” he added.
Pakistan is trying to implement better and more complete border management with Afghanistan, he said, adding that until that happens the scourge of terrorism will continue to exist.
