India humiliated at Gabba

India-153 all out

England- 156/1 (27.3 overs)

Brisbane: India lost the second match in the tri-series after Ian Bell and James Taylor shared an unbroken 131-run stand for the second wicket and chased down the target of 154 at the Gabba. Stuart Binny picked up the only wicket for India.

Opener Moeen Ali was the only England batsman to be dismissed, falling for 8 to a Stuart Binny delivery early on in the England innings.

Earlier, India’s decision to bat first backfired when they were dismissed for just 153 by England.

In their second outing of the tri-series, after losing to Australia on Sunday, the Indian batsmen struggled to cope with the extra bounce on a lively Gabba deck and lasted just 39.3 overs.

Tall pace bowler Steven Finn made the most of the life in the wicket to claim his first five-wicket haul in 49 one-day internationals, finishing with five for 33 from eight overs. He was even adjudged the man of the match.
