Perth: India started slowly in their do or die match against England at Perth. English captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and sent Dhoni’s boys to face the brand new Kookaburra ball at Perth which was once known for its bowler friendly conditions. Although Rahane and Dhawan passed the initial test against Anderson and Broad, Dhawan fell cheaply on 38, yet again failing to capitalize on the start.
Virat Kohli’s off form in the ODIs continued as the blue eyed boy of Indian cricket fell for 8 runs. However, Ajinkya Rahane has batted out his way and looked rock solid after the completion of his half century but the team failed to put up a big score. India were all out with just 200 on the score board at the end.
In reply to India’s score, England lost seven wickets to reach the target.
India needed to win the match to play the final of the tri series against the Aussies. But after losing to England by seven wickets, India crashes out of the series.
