India drop 12 places to 167th in FIFA


Zurich:  India has dropped 12th places to the 167th spot in the latest world Football ranking. This new ranking is released on Thursday.  India were in the 155th spot in last month but the poor performance in the 2018 FIFA world cup qualifiers where India have lost all three group matches  played so far.

India will now schedule to play with Turkmenistan and Oman, in two away matches on October 8 and 13, respectively. The slum in rankings came as when the team lost 0-3 to Iran in the world cup qualifiers last month. The team like Bhutan lost nine places to be at 173th spot while Pakistan is at 177th, Bangladesh 182nd and Nepal 190th.
