India To Deploy BrahMos Missile Along China Border

Guwahati: In order to defend Arunachal Pradesh from the impending threat of China, India has decided to deploy a supersonic cruise missile from the BrahMos regiment.

China has made a long standing claim that the Northeastern state is a part of it and with the recent development of reports of Chinese military lining up in the Line of Actual Control, India has decided to step up its security.

The regiment will operate around four to six BrahMos batteries and three to four Mobile Autonomous Launchers (MALs). The regiment will command up to 100 BrahMos Block III cruise missiles, each armed with a 290 kg warhead. The missile can be launched from multiple platforms–submarines, ships, land etc and can engage targets as low as 10 meters.
