New Delhi: India is through to the finals of the Asian Champions Trophy hockey tournament after beating South Korea in the semi-final in Kuantan, Malaysia.
Roelant Oltmans boys came back from a goal down in the closing minutes to tie the match at 2-2. Indian skipper Sreejesh then produced a great save during the penalty shootout after all the India penalty takers had converted as India won the shootout 5-4.
But South Korea hit back as Inwoo Seo drew level with a well taken field goal in the 21st minute
The South Koreans went ahead with 7 minutes to go for the final hooter as Jihun Yang converted a penalty stroke.
A great run from Sardar Singh eventually led to the equalizer after Ramandeep tapped in from close range to take the match beyond regulation time.
