Mount Mounganui: Three games and three handsome wins. The openers see off Zimbabwe, and India win by 10 wickets. They will be looking forward to the rest of the series with enthusiasm.
Zimbabwe set India 155 to win. The likes of Arshdeep Singh, Anukul Sudhakar Roy and Abhishek Sharma have been among the wickets, but have given little away. Resistance from the Zimbabwe batsmen came from the pair of Milton Shumba (36) and skipper Liam Nicholas Roche (31) after the departure of opener Wesley Madhavere (30) who kept the innings together up front when they lost a clump of wickets. Zimbabwe were eventually bowled out for 154 in 48.1 overs. Should be an easy chase for India, unless Zimbabwe come up with something special.
Zimbabwe, too, were dealt blow, but a triple blow with Anukul Roy striking thrice in two overs to be reduced to 117/6. They had a strong middle session, but seem to be slipping now with Roy on fire.
