London: Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted a second-half goal as Paris Saint Germain ended Chelsea’s Champions League dreams after claiming a 2-1 win over Guus Hiddink’s team in the second leg of the last-16 tie at Stamford Bridge, thereby progressing through to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Midfielder Adrien Rabiot put PSG ahead in the 16th minute of the match before Chelsea’ star striker leveled the score just after 11 minutes, the Guardian reported.
Chelsea, which required two more goals in order to reach the next round, could not score any further and in turn, Ibrahimovic scored a goal from close range in the 67th minute to seal the victory for the PSG.
With the win, PSG completed 4-2 aggregate triumph against the hosts. ANI
