New Delhi: Olympic medallist and newly-appointed Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore, in a bid to lead India by example, initiated a fitness challenge on twitter. Rathore, who jointly holds the charge of Youth Affairs ministry and Sports ministry, shared a video on his twitter handle, asking people to post their images and videos of how they keep themselves fit.
The Union Minister explained the importance of fitness and setting a precedent, he went down on the floor to do 10 push-ups on camera. The former athlete also urged people to keep the fitness trend active by inviting and including their friends in the challenge.

From his side, he extended the #FitnessChallenge to Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and ace shuttler Saina Nehwal.
He wrote on twitter, “Post pictures and videos of how you keep yourself fit and send a #FitnessChallenge to your friends on social media. Here’s my video and I challenge Hrithik Roshan, Virat Kohli & Saina Nehwal to join in”
Rathore was given charge of the I&B ministry last week during a Cabinet shuffle. He replaced Smriti Irani in the ministry.
Earlier this year, Rathore credited himself with the initiation of Khelo India School Games.
