IAF Jaguar Catches Fire During Take-Off


New Delhi: A Jaguar fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Tuesday caught fire during take-off at the Ambala air base in Haryana. The pilot managed to exit safely and no loss of life has been reported.

The plane was scheduled to take part in a routine night flying mission. The aircraft was destroyed in the accident.

“On Tuesday evening at Ambala Airfield a Jaguar aircraft aborted takeoff while getting airborne for a routine night flying mission. The pilot carried out safe quick exit. The aircraft caught fire,” an Air Force statement said.
