IAF Chopper Makes Emergency Landing

MUMBAI: The Indian Air Force helicopter MI-17 experienced technical problem and made an emergency landing at 2.25pm at the Bandra-Kurla Complex ground. This is the same ground where a few days ago Prime Minister Modi announced the Metro Rail II and III phase, said a defence official.

On learning about the emergency landing, the Bandra-Kurla Complex police rushed to the spot and cleared the huge crowd that gathered to take pictures of the helicopter. “The helicopter pilot managed to land in the midst of all buildings without any damage. One of the wheels has got entrenched in the ground,” said the police.

“The MI-17 helicopter was on a routine training sortie when it experienced technical problem,” the defence spokesperson told to the media.
