Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee strongly condemns the act of horse trading. After the major violence sparked during the Panchayata polls across West Bengal Chief Minister breaks her silence. On Thursday the TMC supremo congratulated her party workers and promised them her best service.
On this day Mamata denies the fact of brutal killing of the presiding officer in Raigaunj, and asked for CID investigation. Infiltration during the rural polls to disrupt the law and order in the state was the main motto of the saffron brigade and the left front, she claimed.
She further stated that in 2013, CPIM had filed eleven thousand nominations and the figure changed drastically in the current year which is twenty eight thousand.
The CM cries over the report sought by MHA over the violence. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal over violence during the panchayat elections in the state, saying democracy was “murdered” for narrow political interests. On Thursday CM retaliated over the statement given by PM. Hitting out PM Modi directly, Mamata Banerjee asks PM not to convey such words against a state.
While addressing media she clears that her party will give all kind of support and help to the families of the deceased who died in the election violence but didn’t specify about any financial support.
She concludes by appealing President of the country to look into the political crisis in such a situation running across the nation.
