Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who battling to come out clean in the Vyapam Scam has made a shocking claim that he is the original whistleblower in the scam. He said, “I initiated the CBI probe into the Vyapam scam. I am the original whistleblower in the case.”
But documents have contradicted his claim. According to documents the Chief Minister was asked at 50 times on the floor of the house and 20 letters written to him but his reply had been evasive.
The first question regarding the Vyapam scam was raised in 2009 by Indiependent MLA Paras Saklecha. On November 29, 2011 a committee was constituted to look into the admission process. In January 2015, Chouhan accepted under pressure that there have been 1000 fake admissions in the state since 2007.
