Hunger Strike In CMCH: Mukul’s Letter To Union Health Ministry Maligns Mamata

Kolkata: West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mukul Roy has written to Union Health and Family Welfare minister Jagat Prakash Nadda aka J P Nadda on the hunger strike going in Calcutta Medical College & Hospital. A letter has also been forwarded to Indian Medical Council president Dr. Jayasree Mehta by Roy.

Former Trinamool Congress strongman has blamed Mamata Banerjee for the entire situation. The 184 year old CMCH is one of the ancient institute of Kolkata where six students are holding hunger strike since July 9. The demand raised by the students is valid and has a justification.

The gradual detoriation of health condition is visible among the students on strike. In case of this, Mukul Roy has highlighted the numbness of administration. Every students are meritorius and CM or Health Minister are not being sympathetic to them. So he asked for an intervention from the Union Health Ministry to overcome the complexity of the situation before it turn more complex.

Mukul Roy on Sunday went to meet the students in Calcutta Medical College & Hospital. But police has stopped him to enter the place. He wrote the letter right after this.
