Human Rights Commission steps into Parui case


Kolkata: After the involvement of the oppositions of the state government and the Calcutta High Court, now its time for the Human Rights Commission to make its presence felt regarding the Parui issue. The commission has asked for a detailed report from the Superintendent of Police.

After getting the complete picture of the incident through the report, the commission will decide on its movements.

After Justice Ashok Ganguly had stepped down from the chairmanship of the Human Rights’ Commission, ex-DG Naparajit Mukherjee has been appointed as the acting chairman of the commission. It is now to be seen how the Commission acts in maintaining the Human Rights within the state.
